2 Thompson mags from 1 supplier, 2 identical Thompson mags from another supplier, both based in the same country. They arrived within 48hrs of each other. One attracted no duty, the other a total charge of

For just a bit more you can get a good repro - have you read Gadges' guide to Brit kit on the cheap?

It's the 13 quid "handling charge" from PF that hacks me off. I'm trying to get a concrete answer from HMR&C on whether they are willing to hold items until the VAT & duty is paid by the owner, instead of letting PF feck us for another 13 quid....

Yeah it is crap. This is why if you order anything from HK it can be a better idea to state "Please dont post via EMS" (which is the local postal service which then gets translated to Arsehole Force when it arrives on our shores). It will then be sent via UPS/TNT/etc who usually have a vastly lower fee (and also usually ask for it on the door rather than holding it).

The downside with this is that UPS deliveries always get taxed. If it goes via EMS theres a chance it will slip under the net. Swings and round-abouts. If its a big order its probably worth UPSing it as its more likely to get taxed anyway.

No longer involved in airsoft.

I've taken some pics of my Fallschirmjager impression - my first attempt at this.

Note: Rank 'gull's are temp editions - have better on order from Richard Underwood also the Luftwaffe metal cap wreath is upsidedown - just testing fellow Axis on identification lol.

Looking good! just a couple of pointers - unpick the braided cord around the collar, and use mole grips to tighten up the metal plates that the mag pouches clip into. Another trick is to use a single D ring on a loop on the back to attach the back strap of the yoke to the belt in a more secure fashion.

i'm gonna stick with the cord on this fliegerblouse using it for my 'early' impression, will be used for walking out. The next one i buy will be bought without the cord and used in the field.

Also Thanks for the tips on the belt kit - once I get the other pieces I'm waiting for I'll secure - and I thought '58 patt was a bitch lol mind you i can source '58 waterbottles - am having trouble finding WWII ones.

Looks great but there is one little niggle for the anal like me that stops it being spot on.
Y straps. I cant find anything to support the use of straps with the extra bits for A frame or Affe. Much more normal would be the cavalry/officer style, other than that it's great, hey, not the end of the world.
Useable water bottles are at something of a premium right now. Originals in good condition, with a cup, are going for upward of

I see what you mean with the straps - I'll prolly get the single hook versions from Richard Underwood next month - CC is a bit maxed lol

Best FJ Y straps i've found so far have been from Landser.com over in the US. Price was reasonable, and service was better than i've received from orders with RAU.
